Sunshine for the first time. Soil under their feet. Fresh air, and only the sounds of nature around them.
They lay down together, close their eyes, and relax.

  6. "The problem is that humans have victimized animals to such a degree that they are not even considered victims. They are not even considered at all. They are nothing; they don’t count; they don’t matter. They are commodities like TV sets and cell phones. We have actually turned animals into inanimate objects - sandwiches and shoes."

  7. theveganmothership:

Many who claim to ‘love’ animals but are not vegan frequently claim that they believe animals that they eat should be treated ‘humanely’.

If this describes you, please ask yourself what steps you have taken to ensure that the ‘products’ you consume were indeed treated ‘humanely’.

Many adopt the ‘don’t think too deeply and hope for the best’ attitude. Some go by a label. Whatever you did, I can guarantee that any assurance of humane treatment is based on false information. Why? Because there IS no way to ‘farm’ living beings. They all suffer horrifically.

The very fact that people consider humane treatment is important proves that they believe animals matter. Go vegan. It’s the ONLY decent thing to do.
